Systems change is a team effort.
Despite more attention and investment in maternal health, the story in the U.S. is still unacceptably poor:
- The maternal mortality rate is >2X higher than in other high-income countries
- Over 80% of maternal deaths are preventable
- Black women are 3X more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications
- 1 in 3 women live in maternity care deserts
Guidance alone doesn’t shift the system. Partnership does.
Since joining Delfina, I’ve seen what that actually looks like.
This past year marked a shift for Delfina–from building to growing through partnership. And with each one, our model gets tested, challenged, and refined. It pushes us to think differently about how we deliver care.

At Delfina, we’re grateful to partner with investors, health plans, employers, OB clinics, and state governments around a shared belief:

Each partnership teaches us something new. Some things don’t work right away, and that’s part of the process.
But it forces us to adapt, meet patients where they are, and make our model even better for the next mom.
