Series: When maternal rage becomes power (turning rage into action)
If you’re done with the status quo, here are some places to start. | 3 min read
Feeling angry? 🙋🏻♀️
Good. Anger and rage carry a ton of energy. We can let it consume us – or we get to channel it into something bigger.
You don’t have to become a politician to make a difference. And you don’t have to do everything.
📣 Just pick one thing that feels doable.
If you’re done with the status quo, here are some places to start:
🌟 Get curious: Take the first step
- Follow organizations advocating for the next mom, like Postpartum Support International, Chamber of Mothers, Moms First, Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA), or Women's Health Advocates
- Listen to PSI’s I Am One podcast and hear how other moms turned their anger into purpose https://lnkd.in/gps5tnZs
🌟 Learn: Go deeper and find your voice
- Read the book Pay Up by Reshma Saujani
- RSVP to watch No Country for Mothers:
- Share your story with a friend, on LinkedIn, or in your community
🌟 Take action: Make your maternal rage count
- Join a PSI Climb
- Join a local Chamber of Mothers Chapter
- Advocate for paid leave at your workplace using Moms First's toolkit
- Call your legislator about an issue that keeps you up at night
- Participate in MMHLA’s Advocacy Day
Every policy that changed.
Every workplace benefit that supports new moms.
Every support group that exists today.
All started because someone decided: “This isn’t OK anymore.”
You don’t have to do everything. Just don’t let that anger consume you.
Maternal rage doesn’t have to end in shame. It can become the fuel for making things a little better for the next mom 🔥
