Series: The next six books (for the next mom)

For: The next mom | 3 min

If you’re in the thick of it now, you’re not alone. Becoming a mom is hard and messy. And there’s no one book that'll prepare you for it.

As a 2X survivor of postpartum anxiety, I know how much support matters. Books were a big part of that for me.

My 1st list of book recs helped me make sense of motherhood (link).

The 2nd gave me something different – agency (link).

These books helped me prioritize myself without guilt. Rest. Give myself more compassion. Ask for help. Feel like a team again with my husband and lean on my village.

Most importantly, they helped me realize I had more power than I thought – to be the mom I wanted to be and find my voice to push back on the systems that make motherhood harder than it has to be.

So, for the next mom:
🌟 Real Self Care – If you want self-care that actually sticks.
🌟 Rest is Resistance – If you feel guilty the moment you sit down.
🌟 The Motherload – If you’re done pretending motherhood is magical all the time.
🌟 What About Us? – If you love your partner but can’t stop keeping score.
🌟 Hunt, Gather, Parent – If you feel like you’re doing everything herself.
🌟 Be Brave Little One – If you deserve the same kindness you give your baby.

So grateful for these book authors for being part of my support village. Your books helped me heal, build resilience, find joy again, and figure out what empowered motherhood feels like.

Every mom’s mental health matters – and it takes all of us to protect it 💙
